Unofficial results are as follows:
Place 2: Scott Garber

Proposition A (passed): "Authorizing the City of Corinth, Texas, to provide for the planning, acquisition, establishment, development, construction, renovation and financing of a new central community gathering space and related infrastructure at the location of 3221 Corinth Parkway, Corinth, Texas 76208, the Venue Project, to designate the Venue Project as a sports and community venue project within the City of Corinth, Texas, pursuant to Chapter 334 of the Texas Local Government Code, as amended, and to impose a new short term rental tax on the gross rental receipts of the short term rental of motor vehicles within the City of Corinth, Texas, at a rate of five percent (5%), for the purpose of financing the Venue Project."

The City of Corinth hereby presents notice to Corinth residents that the City of Corinth will hold an election on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 7:00am to 7:00pm. at Corinth City Hall, 3300 Corinth Parkway.
What's on the Ballot?
General Election: Mayor, and Council Members, Place 2 and Place 5.
Mayor: Lindsey Rayl | William (Bill) Heidmann (Incumbent)
Place 2: Scott Garber (Incumbent) | Luis J. Herrera-Baker

Special Election: Proposition A for a Short-Term Vehicle Rental Tax
Voters will determine whether or not to approve a temporary rental car tax that could financially support the creation and operations of a centralized gathering space in the new Agora District.
What is a Short-Term Vehicle Rental Tax?
- It is a tax on the rental of vehicles from Businesses located within the City of Corinth. The tax does not increase property or sales taxes.
- The Short Term Rental Tax is one option for funding portions of the Agora District and could help pay for the construction and maintenance of new centralized gathering space, Commons at Agora.
Why a Short-Term Vehicle Rental Tax?
- It is only paid by people renting cars
- It has less of an impact on Corinth residents as a whole.
- It is not a permanent tax
About the Centralized Gathering Space, the Commons at Agora
The gathering space, known as the Commons at Agora, was developed in response to citizen surveys that indicated that Corinth residents would like additional local retail and dining. The Short Term Rental Tax is one option for funding portions of the Agora District including the Commons. The community-envisioned space will serve as a hub for community activities, events, and festivals. The marquee destination will inspire private investment along with more restaurants and retail to create a distinct downtown district. Learn more!

- Sunday, April 25, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Monday and Tuesday, April 26-27, 2021 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m

- Registered voters within Denton County can vote at ANY polling location during early voting. View a full list here.
- Election Day voting for all Corinth precincts will take place at Corinth City Hall, 3300 Corinth Parkway, Corinth TX 76208.

Voters are required to present an approved form of photo identification (current or expired no more than 4 years) from the list below:
- Texas Driver License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
- Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
- Texas Personal Identification Card issued by DPS
